So you have a great business model and now you want to brand your product. But how? It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the logo, color, style, and message of your brand. So here are a few easy tips to help you sort out your brainstorming woes and create a branding masterpiece.
It’s not all about you
It’s easy to create an idea and completely understand the logic and understanding behind it, but others may struggle with seeing things just like you. Take some time and ask around to see what others think. Get a broad take on others’ views in order to better assess you and your product from an outsider’s perspective.
Build your online platform
Make sure your website and social media outlets are up-to-date and polished. Often times, the Internet will be your audience’s first glimpse of you or your product. Make sure they are interested and impressed with your online presence. That means that your Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram profiles should all be aligned with the same brand and marketing techniques.
Consistency is key
In order to gain trust with your audience, make sure you create a consistent brand. Be sure to incorporate your logo or theme of branding in all communications. Consistency in the short run translates to dependability in the long run.
People-pleasers never win
Be the best possible brand to your select audience. If you try to please everyone, you’ll end up pleasing no one. It’s important to remain true to your central branding message and carry through on that brand to your audience.
Get creative
Branding yourself doesn’t need to fit a certain mold. Instead, look at other options for making you and your product stand out. For example, partner with local businesses to get your idea out to a larger audience, give away free products to entice people to want more, run a social media contest, or set up a referral program. Whatever you chose to do, be creative and have fun with getting you and your product out for the world to see.
