Don’t feel like cooking? Just want to call delivery but don’t want to dig into a box filled with greasy pizza? Well, Freshly has you covered! As a new startup in New York City, Freshly provides simple, already-made meals. All you need to do is heat them up in oven or microwave and voila! Your meal is all ready to go.
Michael Wystrach and co-founder Carter Comstock created the startup so that people wouldn’t have to wait for healthy, delicious food. Because, let’s face it, when you’re hungry, you’re hungry and you don’t want to have to wait to get what you want. For just about $11 per meal, you can get Freshly to deliver up to six weeks worth of food (prices go down the more meals/weeks you preorder). And better yet, the food is catered to your healthy eating goals so they use include protein, vegetables, and limited sugar and salt.
Growing from their delivery hub of New York City, Freshly now serves 28 states in the United States and is hoping to expand to all 50 with a new round of funding the start-up just received. By integrating technology with food, Freshly is attempting to better understand people’s eating habits so that it feels like a personal chef is cooking you.
Hungry yet? Let us know if you’d give Freshly a try by tweeting @StarterNoise using #yum. We want to know what you really think!
