It’s easy to take for granted the small businesses that bring us so much happiness. And right now, they need our help more than ever. Here are some ways you can support your local community and small businesses during this tough time.
Write a Review.
57% of customers won’t use a business that has fewer than 4 stars. Reviews can have an enormous impact on a business’s success and reputation, which ultimately affects whether other people will use that business. Taking a moment to write a genuine, glowing review can help a business owner in a huge way.
Get Social.
We may not all be SugarBearHair influencers, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have an impact through social media. Take the perfect #foodporn picture and tag the restaurant you ordered it from. Share your ultimate #hairgoals pic and thank your hairdresser. Tag a picture at the coffee shop you miss visiting every day. Just make sure to tag them!
Go Virtual.
Many services are still being offered- but now, they’re virtual. Check to see which of your services/providers are now being provided online. Is your favorite barre instructor hosting a virtual workout? Does your therapist offer virtual sessions? Are there any virtual classes being held by your local businesses like cooking or learning a new skill? Are any of your favorite bars hosting a virtual trivia night? Get involved and spread the love.
Pre-Celebrate.
Though many things are uncertain right now, one thing isn’t- there will always be birthdays and moments worth celebrating. Get a head start on upcoming celebrations by shopping online at small stores that depend on the littlest of sales. That way, they’ll be able to open their doors again when things open again.
Spread The Love.
Many individuals don’t have a steady income or any extra cash right now. But if you do have the financial means to do it, keep paying your cleaning people, babysitters, hairstylists, etc. We need them just as much as they need us.
