Beyoncé. Queen B. Sasha Fierce. Whatever nickname you have for her, we all love some Beyoncé. After all, she is one of the most iconic musical artists and performers of our time.
Now let’s take Beyoncé and pair her with Peloton—perhaps the most influential at home fitness company to date. Beyoncé and Peloton. Name a more iconic duo … I’ll hold a plank and wait.
For all the Queen B and cycling fans out there, you have a reason to celebrate. Beyoncé and Peloton have partnered together for a multi-year partnership in hopes of building-up Peloton’s music streaming abilities and promoting pro-social initiatives.
Peloton recently released a statement: “The launch of our collaboration with Beyoncé, our most requested artist by more than 3.6 million Members, commemorates Homecoming season, an annual fall celebration for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) that honors tradition and legacy. As most Homecoming festivities shifted to virtual celebrations due to the global pandemic, we worked closely with Beyoncé to create a series of themed workout experiences to help extend Homecoming to Peloton Members via classes across multiple fitness categories, including indoor cycling, running, strength, bootcamp, yoga and meditation.”
Students at 10 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) will be given a two-year subscription to Peloton’s fitness classes for free. This is a huge win for students who will be able to access thousands of classes (for free!) without needing to buy any fancy workout equipment.
“The digital memberships will go to students at Bennett College, Clark Atlanta University, Grambling State University, Hampton University, Howard University, Morehouse College and Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College, Texas Southern University and Wilberforce University by the end of November.”
All in all, this incredible collaboration with Beyoncé helps Peloton “provide an engaging and motivating experience for our Members and leverage our products, platform and expertise to give our community better options for staying healthy and happy.”
