In case you missed our last article (which I’m sure you didn’t!), SXSW is happening March 10th to 19th. And the StarterNoise team is psyched! So as we prepare for this amazing adventure in Austin, Texas, let us fill you in on what we will be packing in our handy-dandy suitcases.
Water
Number 1 item on everyone’s list is a S’well Water Bottle. We all know the drill, hydration = health. So drink up! Chances are, you’ll be running around all over the place (all day) so carry around a sweet water bottle that will keep your water cold for 24 hours and your tea hot for 12.
Cellular Device
Uh…. This goes without saying, but I’m going to tell you anyway—bring your phone. Better yet, clear out your old pictures, delete those apps you don’t use anymore, and get rid of those old messages/emails. You’ll want all the space you can get on your phone so you can stash some sweet new pics and contact info. Oh and please don’t forget your charger … you’ll be beyond upset if you show up, all geared up for an action-packed day … only to find out half way through that your phone is on 7% and your charger is happily resting back in your hotel room.
Business Cards
You’ll be meeting a lot of people, and they’ll find you so awesome that they’ll want to connect after SXSW. So be prepared and store some biz cards in your wallet. It’ll be a great way for people to remember you and have a way to contact you in the future.
WIFI Card
So what is basically just as bad as having your phone die? … Having no Internet access. How do you solve this issue? Well darling, the answer is simple; bring a WIFI card that you can connect to your phone. That way, you won’t be scrambling for a signal and missing out on any of the awesome lectures, concerts, or networking opportunities.
This list could go on for days, but we think the items listed above are the absolute minimum you should pack (besides fresh underwear and socks of course!). So take out your suitcase, grab these items, and get your kickass self all the way to Austin for SXSW.
